Gowanus Neighborhood Coalition for Justice Meeting

The Gowanus Neighborhood Coalition for Justice is hosting its monthly meeting where we will share updates from the most recent working group meetings as well as a presentation on how the past rezonings of the 4th Avenue Corridor has impacted affordable housing and conversations on displacement happening today.

 

If you would like to learn more about the rezoning process, check out our Land Use Workshop Series on the following dates. All meetings are held at Fifth Avenue Committee from 6 to 8 pm:

 

MAY 3 – “What is the Trade Off?”

This hands-on workshop helps participants understand proposed rezoning, talk through their concerns around increased density, and develop shared priorities around issues that are critical to them. Participants also learn opportunities for advocating with city agencies during the rezoning process.

MAY 17 – “What is Affordable Housing”? 

This set of hands-on activities breaks down affordable housing policy into easy-to-understand visuals. Look at income demographics, rents, and
